Today: Results of Washington DC smart grid pilot project revealed

The PowerCentsDC smart grid pilot project recently concluded in Washington DC. Today (Sept. 9) at 1 pm ET, the results of this program will be announced at the National Press Club by eMeter Strategic Consulting and the Board of the Smart Meter Pilot Program, Inc.

PowerCentsDC successfully demonstrated consumer use and adoption of smart meters, smart thermostats, dynamic pricing, and enhanced energy information to reduce peak demand by as much as 51% — among the largest reductions ever recorded.
