Prop 23’s myths about California’s renewable energy law

California’s landmark renewable energy law is under attack from the fossil fuel industry. The Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB32) requires the state to reduce its climate change pollution to 1990 levels by 2020. This goal is popular — according to an April 2010 Field Poll, a majority of California voters support it.

Now there’s a deceptive effort to undo AB32 in the November elections — supported by an aggressive misinformation campaign.
