You can’t miss the reports of record high temperatures on the East Coast this week. Utilities like Baltimore Gas & Electric are hitting new record peak demands on their systems.

Does this mean Peak Time Rebate and other demand response programs won’t work? In fact, experience proves that consumers reduce peak load more on the hottest days.
